New homes are designed to be star rated.  They’re built to be star rated.  But they’re not tested whether they actually meet their energy efficient rating.  This means that although your new home has a certification it probably won’t actually deliver on what that star rating promises.

Eliminate the risk of a leaky new home

The only way to ensure that you get what you paid for is to have your new home tested as part of the building contract.

Reputable builders will accept testing as a contractual condition.  If you’re not sure what to ask for, here is a suggested clause for inclusion in your building contract.  If your builder is unsure what this means, ask them to contact Air Genius for more information and for training options.

If your builder won’t accept testing as a pre-requisite, then you run the risk of wasting large amounts of money on unnecessary energy costs, as well as the risk of unwanted allergens entering your home.
